Backend Engineer — Fintech & Platform

A fintech and digital assets company is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to build secure, reliable backend systems, financial transaction services, wallets and payment integrations.

Build and maintain secure backend services and REST APIs.

Develop financial transaction systems, wallets and payment integrations.

Manage third-party integrations, webhooks and transaction failures.

Ensure data integrity, reconciliation, reliability and transaction consistency.

Implement authentication, authorisation, concurrency and idempotency mechanisms.

Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot production applications.

Write automated tests and maintain production-ready code.

Investigate technical issues and implement reliable solutions.

3+ years of backend engineering experience.

Strong proficiency in C#, .NET and ASP.NET Core.

Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.

Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.

Understanding of webhooks, authentication and authorisation.

Knowledge of database transactions, concurrency and idempotency.

Experience with Docker, Git and production deployments.

Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Fintech or payments experience is an advantage.
