Head, SIRI

SIRI is seeking an experienced institutional leader to drive its research agenda, strategic growth, funding partnerships and organisational development while representing the institute across government, donor and academic networks.

Develop and oversee a 3–5 year institutional strategy and governance structure.

Lead the institute’s research agenda, quality assurance and policy-relevant outputs.

Build a diversified funding pipeline across grants, consulting and intellectual property.

Oversee budgets, financial sustainability and cost-recovery strategies.

Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary research team.

Represent SIRI with governments, donors, academic institutions and other stakeholders.

Strengthen strategic partnerships and support the institute’s regional and international growth.

Master’s or PhD in Research, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Data Science or a related field. PhD strongly preferred.

12–15+ years of progressive experience in research, development, consulting, policy or academia.

7+ years of experience in senior leadership or institutional management.

Demonstrated experience in grant acquisition and donor partnerships.

Strong strategic, research, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.

Willingness and ability to undertake regional and international travel.
