Head of Technology

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Technology to own its technology function, oversee platform operations and lead the engineering team through launch and beyond.

• Lead platform acceptance and handover from the delivery partner.
• Own the platform and approve releases, changes and go/no-go decisions.
• Set architecture, tooling and hosting strategy across web, apps, streaming and internal tools.
• Establish publishing permissions, controls and approval workflows.
• Hire, lead and develop a six-person engineering team.
• Oversee platform reliability, security and incident response.
• Set technical priorities in line with the launch timeline.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams that have shipped consumer web and mobile products.
• Strong technical depth across frontend, backend and infrastructure.
• Experience with vendor-built systems, integrations or platform takeovers.
• Solid understanding of security, access controls and publishing governance.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Comfortable owning critical go/no-go technical decisions.
