Job Summary

VHIL, an Artee Group company, is seeking a proactive Human Resource Officer to oversee HR operations across its Lagos locations. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, policy implementation, performance management, HR reporting, training, and employee welfare while ensuring compliance with HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding in collaboration with Business Managers.

Enforce HR policies and ensure compliance across all locations.

Coordinate performance appraisal processes and support managers in performance management.

Prepare HR analytics and reports to support management decision-making.

Organize and coordinate employee training and development programmes.

Monitor staff attendance, leave requests, and workforce records.

Serve as the primary contact for employee queries, grievances, and welfare matters.

Oversee general HR operations and ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.

Required Qualifications

Experience in Human Resources with the ability to manage core HR functions.

Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR operations.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare HR reports and interpret data.

Good organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work across multiple locations and manage competing priorities.

  • Reduce time-to-fill vacancies without compromising candidate quality.
  • Maintain a low employee turnover rate through effective retention strategies.
  • Ensure high compliance with company policies across all locations.
  • Achieve timely completion of employee performance evaluations.
  • Reduce absenteeism through effective attendance management.
  • Improve employee satisfaction and engagement throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Deliver accurate and timely HR reports.
  • Ensure quick turnaround time for staff requests such as confirmations, leave, loans, and IOUs.
  • Achieve at least 80% of the annual training plan.
  • Ensure 100% utilization of approved manpower budgets.
