Job Summary

A leading Oil & Gas company is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Manager (IR Manager) to lead employee and industrial relations initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in union engagement, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management within the Oil & Gas industry, ensuring effective labor relations and compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement industrial and employee relations strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead engagements and negotiations with trade unions, including PENGASSAN and NUPENG.
  • Manage collective bargaining agreements and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Resolve workplace disputes and employee grievances through effective conflict resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with unions, employees, and key stakeholders.
  • Advise management on industrial relations matters and employment legislation.
  • Support disciplinary processes and ensure fair and consistent employee relations practices.
  • Monitor industrial relations trends and recommend proactive improvements.
  • Prepare reports and documentation relating to industrial relations activities.
  • Promote a positive and productive workplace culture while minimizing industrial disputes.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12–18 years' progressive experience in Industrial Relations or Employee Relations.
  • Proven experience in the Oil & Gas industry (mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience managing union engagements with PENGASSAN and NUPENG.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of labor laws, industrial relations practices, and employment regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and disc
