Job Summary

A company is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with statutory regulations and labour laws. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll processing experience, excellent numerical skills, and proficiency in payroll software and HRIS systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and within established timelines.
  • Verify employee attendance, timesheets, overtime, bonuses, allowances, and deductions before payroll processing.
  • Calculate salaries, taxes, pensions, and other statutory deductions in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate, confidential payroll records.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, tax regulations, and company payroll policies.
  • Resolve payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and employee concerns promptly.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll information within payroll software or HRIS systems.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll records.
  • Support payroll audits and prepare relevant documentation when required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years' experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the logistics or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, statutory deductions, taxation, and labour regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software or HRIS systems.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
