Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting meals
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations
- Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Monitor food quality before service
- Maintain proper food storage, inventory, and stock rotation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff performance
- Control food costs and minimize waste
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and fully operational
- Step in to manage kitchen operations when the Head Chef is unavailable
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef
- Strong knowledge of local and continental cuisine
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Culinary certification is an added advantage
- Must be male and available to resume immediately
