Job Summary

The Blending Operator is responsible for operating blending machinery and ensuring accurate mixing of raw materials in line with production standards. The role focuses on maintaining product consistency, quality control, hygiene compliance, and efficient production output within the seasoning factory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor blending equipment during production processes
  • Ensure correct mixing time, speed, and consistency of all batches
  • Verify raw materials are available and in proper condition before use
  • Prevent cross-contamination across different products and ingredients
  • Ensure blended products meet defined quality and specification standards
  • Monitor production processes and immediately report any irregularities
  • Reduce wastage and ensure optimal use of raw materials
  • Follow production schedules, SOPs, and batch instructions strictly
  • Carry out routine inspection and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Report equipment faults and operational issues promptly
  • Clean and sanitize blending machines after each production cycle
  • Adhere strictly to GMP, hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety rules
  • Ensure proper use of PPE at all times during operations
  • Assist in housekeeping and factory sanitation activities
  • Work closely with supervisors, QA, and maintenance teams
  • Participate in product changeovers and line clearance processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and productivity

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND or Technical Certification
  • At least 2 years’ experience in batching or manufacturing operations
  • Experience in food or seasoning production is an added advantage
  • Ability to operate blending machines safely and effectively
  • Strong understanding of weighing, measurement, and blending systems
  • Ability to read batch sheets and Bills of Materials (BOM)
  • High attention to detail and quality control awareness
  • Knowledge of GMP, hygiene, and food safety standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Good housekeeping and organizational discipline
