Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shift production activities to achieve output targets
- Monitor performance of blending, wrapping, cubing, and packaging machines
- Ensure continuous availability of raw and packaging materials for production runs
- Track material usage and ensure proper reconciliation to reduce variances (MUV)
- Maintain strict compliance with GMP, hygiene, and food safety standards
- Ensure finished products meet required quality specifications
- Control waste levels and support reduction of production losses
- Maintain accurate shift records, reports, and production documentation
- Allocate tasks, supervise staff performance, and enforce shift discipline
- Conduct shift briefings and ensure smooth handover between teams
- Support training and development of production staff
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across production areas
- Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance teams
- Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements
- Support initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and reducing downtime
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc or HND in Food Science, Basic Sciences, or related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or FMCG production environment
- Strong understanding of seasoning or food production processes
- Knowledge of production planning, line balancing, and workflow optimization
- Familiarity with GMP, food safety, and quality management systems
- Experience with production KPIs such as OEE, yield, waste, and downtime
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication, discipline, and attention to detail
