Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Facilitate core modules including Design Theory, History of Interior Design, Color Theory, and Human Factors/Ergonomics.
- Technical Instruction: Teach technical drafting and 2D/3D modeling using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max).
- Spatial Planning: Guide students through the process of space analysis, floor plan development, and building codes.
- Studio Supervision: Lead practical design studio sessions, helping students move from conceptual mood boards to detailed construction drawings.
- Project Mentorship: Supervise student portfolios and final projects, providing critical feedback and professional guidance to ensure high-quality output.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated with global design trends and materials to ensure the ZIDA curriculum remains modern and competitive.
Required Qualifications
- Academic Background: A Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B.Tech) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Architecture or Interior Design.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in CAD software (AutoCAD) and 3D visualization tools. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign) is a significant plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in an architectural firm or interior design studio. Prior experience in teaching or corporate training is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong public speaking and presentation skills. You must be able to explain "the why" behind design choices effectively.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, technical drawings, and completed projects.
