Job Summary


Bridgemead HR is seeking an experienced Head of Stores with a strong background in steel manufacturing to oversee inventory operations, maintain ERP accuracy, ensure audit compliance, and guarantee continuous availability of critical materials while minimizing stock losses.



Key Responsibilities


Oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of materials, spares, and consumables

Maintain accurate and real-time inventory records using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Enforce inventory control procedures, stock reconciliation, and audit compliance processes

Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages, excess stock, and material obsolescence

Prepare periodic inventory, variance, and stock movement reports

Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, Accounts, and Audit teams on planning and control activities

Supervise store personnel and ensure adherence to safety standards within the warehouse environment



Required Qualifications



Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Minimum of 12 years experience in stores and inventory management within manufacturing

5 – 7 years hands-on experience in steel, TMT, or melting plant store operations

Experience working closely with audit and finance teams

ERP/Navision proficiency is preferred

Must be willing to relocate

Strong knowledge of inventory control, audit compliance, ERP reporting, and stock analytics

Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):


Inventory accuracy between physical stock and ERP records

Reduction in stock variance and inventory losses

Timely ERP updates and reporting

Positive audit outcomes

Reduction in emergency material requests
