Optometrist

Skipper Eye-Q Super Speciality Eye Hospital is seeking qualified Optometrists to provide comprehensive primary eye care services. The role involves conducting eye examinations, diagnosing vision and ocular conditions, prescribing corrective solutions, and supporting both pre- and post-operative patient care.

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess visual acuity and visual fields
• Measure intraocular pressure and perform diagnostic eye assessments
• Diagnose eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and refractive errors
• Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses including spectacles and contact lenses
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for procedures such as cataract and refractive surgeries
• Carry out specialized diagnostic tests including OCT, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, and low vision assessments
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and proper eye hygiene
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient interactions
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals for patient management

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid license to practice optometry
• Previous clinical or hospital experience is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diagnostic procedures and equipment
• Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Strong communication and patient care abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a clinical team environment
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
