Head of Legal

Sow Real Estate is seeking a highly experienced Head of Legal to oversee all legal affairs of its real estate and property development operations, ensuring compliance, managing high-value transactions, and safeguarding the company’s interests across all legal matters.

• Lead all legal matters related to property acquisition, development, sales, and leasing
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including sale agreements, joint ventures, construction, and vendor agreements
• Ensure compliance with real estate laws, corporate governance, and statutory regulations
• Provide legal advisory support to management on business decisions and risk exposure
• Manage land documentation, title verification, due diligence, and perfection of titles
• Liaise with government agencies, regulators, and external legal counsel
• Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes
• Develop legal strategies to manage and reduce business risk
• Implement internal legal policies and compliance frameworks
• Support investment structuring, partnerships, and financing transactions
• Lead and manage the legal team and ensure performance development

• LL.B and BL (qualified to practice law in Nigeria)
• 4–6 years post-call experience
• Strong background in real estate/property law
• Proven experience in litigation and dispute resolution
• Experience handling high-value real estate transactions and land documentation
• Strong knowledge of land laws and regulatory compliance
• Experience in luxury real estate is highly preferred
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management abilities
