Executive Chef

Genesis Group is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead its kitchen operations and maintain high culinary standards across food production. The role involves menu development, cost control, team leadership, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation in line with hospitality excellence.

• Plan, design, and update menus including seasonal, buffet, and à la carte offerings
• Supervise all kitchen operations including food preparation, plating, and service flow
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
• Manage food costs, inventory, procurement, and waste reduction
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff
• Conduct performance reviews and maintain staff productivity standards
• Enforce strict hygiene, food safety, and kitchen safety regulations
• Maintain proper functioning and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and facilities
• Oversee compliance with culinary standards and operational procedures

• Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospitality or large-scale catering operations
• At least 2 years in a senior chef or Executive Chef position
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian and international cuisine
• Experience in menu engineering, cost control, and inventory management
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• HACCP or food safety certification is an added advantage
