Job Summary

Xpedient Services is recruiting an experienced Head Chef for a beach resort in Lagos. The role requires a highly skilled culinary professional to lead kitchen operations, design innovative menus, manage staff, and ensure top-tier food quality and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent high standards in food quality, taste, and presentation



Design and implement diverse continental menus, including tropical dishes and creative finger foods



Innovate and update menus regularly based on customer preferences and seasonal trends



Maintain consistency in food preparation, portion control, and presentation



Lead, supervise, and train kitchen staff to ensure teamwork and efficiency



Organize kitchen workflow to handle high-demand, fast-paced service periods



Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations



Manage inventory, reduce wastage, and control food costs effectively



Coordinate procurement and supplier selection with management



Enhance guest dining experience through creative and high-quality offerings



Adjust menu offerings based on customer feedback to improve satisfaction and revenue

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 12 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or resort



Strong expertise in continental cuisine with creative culinary innovation skills



Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment



Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills



Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices



Good organizational and time management abilities



Ability to balance food quality, speed of service, and cost efficiency



Culinary certifications are an added advantage



Experience in resort or hospitality environments is highly preferred



Strong business awareness with focus on profitability and cost control
