Bridgemead HR is seeking a Cost Accountant to oversee financial planning, cost control, and performance analysis. The role focuses on tracking expenses, optimizing costs, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business profitability.
Analyze and report financial performance, including preparation of balance sheet and income statements
Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and variance analysis reports
Design and implement cost accounting systems for effective cost tracking
Monitor direct and indirect costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
Conduct cost-benefit and financial sensitivity analyses
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and review budget variances
Support inventory management systems and optimize inventory levels
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
Identify financial risks and recommend corrective measures
Conduct financial studies to support strategic initiatives and process improvements
Supervise and mentor cost accounting staff
Present financial reports to management and non-financial stakeholders
Collaborate with other departments on financial planning and execution
MSc, BSc, or HND in Accounting
Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, or ANAN
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in accounting or financial management
Strong knowledge of cost accounting systems and financial analysis
Excellent analytical, reporting, and forecasting skills
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
High attention to detail and compliance standards
