Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Bakangizo Pharmacy and Stores is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, oversee multi-branch financial operations, and drive sustainable growth. The role involves strengthening financial controls, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support executive decisions.

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across all branches
• Drive profitability through cost management and financial efficiency
• Oversee cash flow to maintain business stability and liquidity
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory regulations, and financial policies
• Strengthen internal controls across finance, inventory, and operations
• Provide strategic financial insights to guide executive decision-making
• Manage internal and external audit processes and ensure resolution of audit findings
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team across all locations

• Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA is required
• 9 to 12 years of relevant experience with several years in a senior leadership role
• Strong background in retail or multi-branch business operations
• Deep knowledge of financial management, audit, and compliance practices
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities
