Head of Risk

iRecharge Tech Innovations is seeking an experienced Head of Risk to lead and strengthen its enterprise risk management structure. The role involves overseeing credit, operational, fraud, IT, and regulatory risk frameworks while ensuring compliance and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.

• Develop and manage the organisation’s risk appetite framework, including limits and key risk indicators aligned with business goals and regulations
• Oversee credit risk and collateral management systems to ensure portfolio quality and compliance
• Design and implement fraud risk control systems across all digital platforms
• Supervise IT and cybersecurity risk management, ensuring data protection and system resilience
• Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and regulatory risks through effective risk registers and controls
• Manage liquidity and market risk exposure in line with regulatory requirements and asset-liability strategies
• Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the Board
• Promote and embed a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation
• Lead, develop, and mentor the risk management team to ensure continuous capability improvement

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field
• MBA or Master’s in Risk Management is an added advantage
• 5–7 years of experience in risk management or credit analysis within banking or fintech
• At least 4 years in a senior leadership or managerial risk role
• Strong expertise in credit, fraud, cybersecurity, and enterprise risk frameworks
• Solid understanding of CBN regulations, prudential guidelines, and digital banking compliance standards
• Experience working with regulators such as CBN and NDIC
• Proficiency in risk management systems, analytics tools, and fraud detection technologies
• High level of integrity, leadership capability, and strategic thinking
