Accountant

Blu Atlantic Hotel, a premium hospitality brand in Lekki, Lagos, is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and support compliance, reporting, and cost efficiency across all hotel functions.

• Support audit processes and ensure continuous financial improvement standards are met
• Review and strengthen accounting systems, internal controls, and compliance procedures
• Identify financial and operational risks and recommend preventive measures
• Conduct periodic training on financial policies and control systems
• Oversee stock audits and ensure adequate supply levels across all hotel departments
• Monitor fixed asset records and conduct regular physical verification exercises
• Supervise stock management and ensure accuracy of inventory positions
• Review payroll components including overtime, allowances, and staff incentives
• Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all accounting processes
• Handle tax compliance and ensure timely submission of regulatory filings
• Review vendor and customer records including agreements and credit limits
• Monitor receivables, staff floats, and outstanding balances for credit control
• Manage expense tracking for field and operational activities
• Compare consumption records with usage reports to detect wastage or pilferage
• Supervise asset disposal processes and bidding procedures
• Carry out other financial duties as assigned by management

HND / B.Sc / M.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or related field

1–3 years relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality or similar sector
