Finance Manager (Senior Accountant – Financial Architect)

Prowess Outsourcing Limited is recruiting a high-level Finance Manager for a leading digital marketing agency in Africa. The role is focused on transforming the finance function into a strategic, data-driven unit by building scalable systems, optimizing financial performance, and driving business insights across high-volume digital operations.

• Design and lead the accounting unit, including SOPs, internal controls, and reporting structures
• Build scalable accounting systems to support business expansion and efficiency
• Develop project profitability and ROI models for digital campaigns (media spend, labor, and margins)
• Monitor budget vs actual performance and analyze variances, risks, and margin leakages
• Serve as lead Xero system administrator and ensure accurate configuration and compliance
• Integrate accounting systems with workflow tools (e.g., Productive, Scoro, Monday.com)
• Analyze key financial metrics such as EBITDA per client, revenue per employee, and acquisition costs
• Prepare executive-level financial reports and dashboards for decision-making
• Oversee cash flow planning, especially for media buying and client collections
• Ensure liquidity, credit stability, and overall financial health of the organization
• Manage tax compliance, VAT, WHT, audits, and other statutory obligations

• Master’s degree (MBA or M.Sc. preferred)
• 5–8 years of core accounting or finance experience
• Experience in agency or tech environment is an advantage
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) is required
• Advanced proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Excel (VBA/Macros is a plus)
• Strong financial modeling skills (3-statement models, variance analysis tools)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong understanding of business and financial strategy
• Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-finance teams
• Experience building financial systems and structures from scratch
