Head of Transport

Fadac Resources is recruiting an experienced Head of Transport to provide strategic and operational leadership for transport and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency, cost control, fleet performance, and business growth across all logistics units.

• Oversee daily dispatch and fleet movement in line with delivery schedules
• Maintain at least 90% fleet operational readiness
• Improve operational efficiency across logistics units
• Develop and implement contingency and business continuity plans
• Supervise route planning for fuel and time efficiency
• Review and optimize haulage and transport strategies
• Implement telematics and GPS tracking systems
• Define and execute transport KPIs and performance dashboards
• Monitor fleet utilization, cost efficiency, and delivery performance
• Coordinate fleet maintenance to reduce downtime and repair time
• Ensure full compliance with vehicle documentation and regulations
• Monitor and reduce operational costs per kilometer and fuel inefficiencies
• Lead transport team performance, training, and succession planning
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards across operations
• Drive business development and expand logistics client base
• Develop commercial proposals, SLAs, and pricing strategies
• Build and maintain strong B2B client relationships

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or related field
• 8 to 10 years experience in a similar transport/logistics leadership role
• Strong knowledge of logistics, fleet operations, and supply chain management
• Proven ability to optimize transport operations and manage budgets
• Experience with tracking systems and transport technology solutions
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
