Job Summary

A company in Abuja is seeking an experienced Power Plant Manager to oversee plant operations, maintenance, and performance optimization. This role is suited for a seasoned engineering professional with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in power generation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the power plant
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards
  • Manage procurement of spare parts and equipment within budget
  • Assess performance of new equipment and processes
  • Develop and implement plans to improve plant efficiency
  • Plan and supervise maintenance activities
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards
  • Stay updated on modern power generation practices for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • First degree in Engineering or related field
  • Professional certifications such as COREN, NSE, or IEEE are required
  • Minimum of 10 years’ technical experience
  • At least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience managing power plants of 10MW and above
  • Strong leadership and technical expertise in plant operations
