Strategic Communications Specialist

Society for Family Health is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to lead high-level communication efforts and strengthen brand positioning. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can develop compelling content, engage stakeholders, and communicate complex ideas clearly within the public health or development space.

• Develop and implement strategic communication plans and campaigns
• Create high-level content and communication materials for various audiences
• Support brand positioning and messaging across platforms
• Engage with stakeholders including donors, government bodies, and partners
• Translate complex health and development concepts into clear, engaging content
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent communication outputs
• Contribute to storytelling and advocacy initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
• Postgraduate qualification is an added advantage
• Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in strategic communications or related roles
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-level communication and content work
• Experience in global health, development, or public sector environments
• Proven ability to develop impactful communication materials and influence stakeholders
• Experience working with donors, government institutions, or international organizations
• Excellent writing, storytelling, and content development skills
• Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, persuasive messaging
