Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures
- Conduct audit cycles covering risk management, operational effectiveness, and compliance
- Handle debt recovery processes within and outside Nigeria
- Define audit scope and develop annual audit plans
- Review and evaluate accounting records, reports, and operational data
- Approve transactions in line with established policies
- Prepare audit reports and document findings
- Provide independent advisory to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Identify control gaps and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Conduct routine audits to assess internal control effectiveness
- Report control deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions
- Collaborate with departments to implement and monitor control improvements
- Investigate cases of fraud and financial irregularities
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and procedures
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and SOPs
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software such as Sage 50
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Sound knowledge of risk management and internal control systems
