Laboratory Technician I (Junior Position)

Scruples Resources Limited is hiring a Laboratory Technician I to support laboratory supervisors and chemists by carrying out routine and non-routine laboratory analyses. The role focuses on quality assurance and quality control processes to support plant operations within the oil and gas sector.

Assist laboratory supervisors and chemists in conducting routine and non-routine laboratory analyses on product and in-process samples.

Perform wet chemistry tests to support plant operations and quality assurance/control.

Carry out calibration and maintenance of laboratory testing equipment.

Prepare samples and ensure accurate generation and documentation of data according to standard operating procedures.

Operate analytical instruments to identify and resolve quality assurance and quality control issues.

Prepare chemical stock solutions, reagents, and standard preparation materials.

Maintain proper laboratory records and documentation.

Perform assigned laboratory duties under supervision and guidance.

Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry.

Computer literacy is required.

Experience with quality control systems is an added advantage.
