Job Summary

Scruples Resources Limited is seeking a Technical Auditing Engineer III to provide expert technical guidance and auditing for geophysical systems used in seismic field operations. The role involves ensuring vendor equipment and processes comply with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and industry regulations before project commencement.


Key Responsibilities


Provide guidance on technical aspects of geophysical sources, sensors, positioning, and recording systems before field operations begin.


Conduct audits of seismic contractor energy sources and recording equipment to confirm compliance with manufacturer specifications and company requirements.


Perform stand-alone technical audits without functioning as part of a QC team.


Verify that vendors and subcontractors’ source, sensor, positioning, and recording systems comply with contract requirements and industry standards.


Communicate technical, operational, and SSH&E concerns to company office personnel.


Coordinate testing and verification of field equipment with vendors and subcontractors.


Ensure adherence to Safety, Security, Health & Environment (SSH&E) project requirements.


Report on vendor crew readiness and equipment limitations before commencement of field operations.





Required Qualifications

Experience in technical auditing of geophysical equipment used for seismic operations (company experience preferred).


Strong technical expertise in data acquisition operations including logistics, sensors, source, instrumentation, equipment, recording, and positioning systems.


Advanced knowledge of geophysical survey systems and vendor equipment.


Strong understanding of SSH&E practices and processes for field operations.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with high integrity and teamwork ability.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern communication tools.


Must be fluent in written and spoken English.


Must be in good physical condition and meet all project health and safety requirements.


Required certifications must be current for the duration of the project.
