Job Summary

United Nigeria Airlines is seeking a Logistics Officer in Lagos to manage the planning, coordination, and control of aircraft parts, ground support equipment, catering supplies, and other operational materials. The role ensures uninterrupted airline operations while optimizing cost, time, and inventory levels.



Key Responsibilities


Manage inventory of aircraft parts, tools, consumables, catering items, and ground handling supplies


Monitor stock levels and conduct regular audits to prevent shortages or overstocking


Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for operational materials, including urgent AOG shipments


Liaise with Maintenance, Engineering, Ground Operations, and Flight Operations teams to ensure timely availability of parts


Prepare and manage shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with IATA, ICAO, EASA/FAA, and local regulations


Support customs clearance for international shipments and resolve shipment delays efficiently


Evaluate supplier performance and assist in negotiating logistics rates and service agreements


Update aviation ERP/MRO systems (SAM, AMOS, TRAX, SAP) and prepare logistics performance reports


Support audits and inspections by aviation authorities and internal quality teams



Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or related field


2–6 years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably in the airline or aviation industry


Knowledge of aircraft parts logistics, AOG handling, and IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations


Experience with aviation ERP/MRO systems (SAM, AMOS, TRAX, RAMCO, etc.)


Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills


Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment


Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
