Job Summary

Sigma Consulting Group is seeking a qualified Cardiologist to diagnose, manage, and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions while contributing to quality improvement and patient education programs within the hospital.






Key Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with heart conditions including heart failure, arrhythmias, ischemic heart disease, and hypertension


Interpret and perform diagnostic tests such as ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations


Develop personalized treatment plans including medications, interventional procedures, and lifestyle interventions


Provide perioperative cardiovascular assessments for surgical patients


Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals


Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives


Conduct outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds, and emergency interventions


Document patient care in line with hospital standards and participate in case discussions and clinical meetings

Required Qualifications

MBBS or equivalent medical degree


Fellowship or residency in Cardiology


Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid practicing license


0–2 years post-specialization experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)


Proficiency in cardiovascular diagnostics and treatment


Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and patient care skills


Calm under pressure, disciplined, and patient-centered


Experience in interventional cardiology or echocardiography is a plus


Team leadership and collaboration skills are advantageous
