Job Summary

TopHire Africa is an innovative HR consulting firm focused on delivering recruitment and training of qualitatively verified talent. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Human Resource Manager to oversee all HR functions, align HR practices with business objectives, and foster a productive and engaging workplace culture for a dynamic loan company.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the full recruitment cycle from job posting and candidate screening to onboarding and retention.
  • Manage performance appraisal systems to drive a high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance to management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory standards, and internal HR policies.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures professionally.
  • Coordinate compensation, benefits, and payroll administration.
  • Identify training needs and oversee employee development programs.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, data, and reports for management use.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.


Required Qualifications


  • B.Sc. / HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role (preferably in financial services or loan management).
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
