Job Summary

This role leads the end-to-end technology vision for a rapidly scaling SME digital platform. The CTO oversees engineering, product development, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, cybersecurity, and fintech/payment systems. The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with deep expertise in SaaS, digital payments, APIs, POS systems, and multi-country platform scaling.










Key Responsibilities

Define and manage the long-term technical roadmap and architecture.


Build a scalable, secure, multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem.


Establish engineering standards, development frameworks, and operational best practices.


Lead and manage engineering, product, DevOps, mobile, data, and QA teams.


Implement agile processes, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and system monitoring.


Oversee integrations with banking APIs, wallets, POS systems, settlement engines, and third-party services.


Manage compliance requirements including CBN, NDPR, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.


Build enterprise security frameworks covering data protection, identity management, and fraud detection.


Lead infrastructure strategy using AWS, Azure, or GCP with high-availability designs.


Scale systems to support multi-country operations and high transaction volumes.


Collaborate with internal teams and manage partnerships with banks, fintech providers, and API vendors.


Provide executive-level reports to the CEO, board members, and investors.


Required Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years of software engineering experience.


At least 7 years in senior leadership roles such as CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Technology.


Strong background in fintech, payments, digital wallets, APIs, settlement systems, and POS architecture.


Proven experience building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms.


Expertise in cloud technologies, microservices, DevOps, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.


Experience deploying platforms across multiple countries.


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.


Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making capabilities.


Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
