Job Summary

The Concept Group, established in 1992, is a holding company with subsidiaries including Rosabon Financial Services, Concept Nova, and Percy Aitkins. We are seeking an experienced Head Legal / Company Secretary to serve as the principal legal advisor to the Board of Directors, ensuring corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal integrity across the Group and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities


  • Draft, review, and interpret contracts, service-level agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide timely legal advice to business units and senior leadership on operational and strategic matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare opinions on commercial, operational, and regulatory issues.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Support regulatory filings, license renewals, and correspondence with regulators.
  • Implement and oversee compliance frameworks across subsidiaries.
  • Manage litigation, liaise with external counsel, and maintain a litigation tracker.
  • Identify and assess legal risks, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in risk reviews and audits where legal input is required.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external counsel, and regulators to resolve legal and compliance matters.
  • Mentor and develop legal staff and contribute to a strong legal and compliance culture within the organization.

Required Qualifications


  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
  • Minimum of eight years post-call experience in legal practice, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in a senior legal role within financial services or related industries, including holding companies and subsidiaries.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulations, corporate governance, and compliance.
  • Ability to provide strategic legal counsel to senior executives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
