Small Animal Soft Tissue / Orthopaedic Veterinary Surgeon

Belfast Veterinary Care, an independent and expanding referral practice, is seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon with strong skills in soft tissue or orthopaedic surgery. The practice is conveniently located just off the M1 and is currently progressing through the RCVS Veterinary Hospital Accreditation process to become Northern Ireland’s only independent veterinary hospital. This is an opportunity to join a team dedicated to providing exceptional yet affordable veterinary care.

• Perform soft tissue and orthopaedic referral surgeries with confidence and precision.
• Deliver comprehensive medical and surgical care to small animal patients.
• Manage cases independently as a sole-charge Veterinary Surgeon when required.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and compassion.
• Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the practice.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon.
• Proven ability to handle soft tissue or orthopaedic referral cases.
• Competence in both surgical and medical aspects of veterinary care.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• Certificate holder qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
