Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including NDAs, consulting agreements, acquisition agreements, and joint ventures.
Provide strategic advice on claims, disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters.
Advise on regulatory compliance, develop internal policies, and ensure adherence to legal frameworks.
Interpret local and international laws relevant to company operations.
Prepare board resolutions, extracts of minutes, and schedules of meetings.
Document legal drafting practices suitable for organizational use.
Support CAC filings, court attendances, legal searches, and title perfection processes.
Collaborate with senior management on legal and public policy issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and B.L; postgraduate degree or professional qualification is a plus.
Minimum 15 years of relevant legal experience; oil & gas industry experience is advantageous.
Deep knowledge of commercial law, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong skills in legal research, drafting, and documentation.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, discretion, and confidentiality.
