Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to support procurement, logistics, and administrative functions in our Nigeria Country Office.

Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee procurement processes in line with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure quality goods and services.
  • Prepare requests for quotes/proposals and manage supplier contracts and purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate vendor databases and monitor supplier performance.
  • Support asset and inventory management, ensuring regular updates and compliance with insurance and donor rules.
  • Coordinate logistics, including travel arrangements, vehicle documentation, and office supply management.
  • Assist with country safety and security coordination under the direction of the Operations Manager.
  • Supervise junior operations staff such as drivers, cleaners, and assistants to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Support office administration, document management, and the preparation of correspondence and reports.
  • Monitor adherence to procurement and administrative policies and provide regular staff guidance.




Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in procurement, logistics, and administration (or 1 year with a Master’s Degree), preferably in an international NGO.
  • Proven knowledge of procurement and operational best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.


Skills & Competencies


  • Prior experience in procurement or operations within a non-profit or INGO environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision.
