Inventory Accountant / Internal Auditor

We are a growing frozen foods business seeking a meticulous, adaptable, and personable Inventory Accountant / Internal Auditor to manage our financial reconciliations and stock tracking.

As a key part of our lean team, you will handle core audit and stock management duties while remaining flexible as operational priorities shift. Because you will interact regularly with suppliers, store personnel, and market vendors, strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and an approachable personality are essential.

Sales & Revenue Reconciliation: Daily reconciliation of store sales logbooks against receipts and register records.

Banking & Transfer Verification: Reconcile all direct bank transfers and electronic payments daily.

Invoicing & Billing: Generate and dispatch accurate invoices to clients and store outlets for goods supplied.

Stock & Inventory Control: Perform weekly inventory checks across retail outlets to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent wastage.

Monthly Physical Stock-Taking: Conduct end-of-month physical stock counts, comparing physical inventory against system records and resolving variances.

Operational Flexibility: As our business grows, responsibilities are not set in stone; you should be willing to adapt, assist with emerging operational tasks, and take initiative where needed.

Vendor & Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with store staff, market traders, and suppliers to verify stock deliveries and resolve account queries amicably.

• Education: OND, HND, or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in accounting, internal auditing, or inventory control, preferably in retail, FMCG, or food distribution.
• Interpersonal Skills & Personality:
• Friendly, approachable, and assertive when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate well with market vendors, traders, and store teams.
• Adaptable and versatile mindset—comfortable with shifting responsibilities in a dynamic business environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software/POS systems.

Competitive Salary: Starting at ₦200,000/month (commensurate with relevant experience).
