Operations Manager

A leading Microfinance Bank in Onitsha is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily banking operations and ensure efficient, compliant and seamless branch activities.

Oversee daily banking operations, customer transactions, cash management and liquidity levels.

Supervise branch staff and ensure compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures.

Ensure strict adherence to CBN regulations, including KYC, AML and CFT requirements.

Monitor account balances and conduct daily reconciliations.

Investigate and resolve operational discrepancies promptly.

Review and authorize transactions within approved limits.

Handle escalated customer inquiries and operational issues.

Prepare periodic operational reports for Management.

Support internal and external audit processes.

Ensure efficient transaction processing and smooth branch operations.

Monitor operational risks and implement appropriate controls.

Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking & Finance or a related field.

3–5 years of relevant banking operations experience.

Mandatory: Direct experience in a Microfinance Bank (MFB) or commercial/retail bank.

Professional certifications such as ACIB, ICAN or ACCA are an added advantage.

Proficiency in core banking software.

Strong knowledge of cash management and reconciliation controls.

Good understanding of transaction processing and regulatory compliance.

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage teams and ensure adherence to operational procedures.
