We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to manage cost analysis, inventory valuation, and financial reporting functions within the organization.
Conduct in-depth analysis of direct labor, materials, and overhead costs.
Review cost estimates for new and existing products and analyze cost variances.
Maintain and verify accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM) with production data.
Supervise inventory valuation and ensure accurate financial recording.
Coordinate with production teams to reconcile physical and accounting inventory.
Prepare monthly cost reports and provide insights for management decisions.
Support budget preparation and forecasting for production-related expenses.
Handle month-end closing processes and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Identify and recommend process improvements for cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist during audits.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and finance teams to collect and review cost information.
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience in cost accounting or management accounting.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
