Job Summary



SOS Children’s Villages Ghana is a child welfare organization committed to providing Family-Like Care for vulnerable children and supporting at-risk families through Family Strengthening Projects. The organization operates in Tema, Asiakwa, Kumasi, and Tamale, with its National Office in Accra. The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will play a vital role in assessing program performance, managing data, and supporting evidence-based decision-making.





Key Responsibilities


Design, implement, and manage monitoring and evaluation frameworks for donor-funded programs.


Conduct program assessments, surveys, and data collection using qualitative and quantitative methods.


Develop key performance indicators, logical frameworks, and M&E plans aligned with project objectives.


Perform data analysis using standard statistical and analytical tools to generate insights for program improvement.


Prepare comprehensive results-based progress reports and contribute to proposal and program design.


Manage data systems and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of program data.


Support results-based management processes and promote a culture of learning within project teams.


Work collaboratively with project heads to align monitoring strategies with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications



Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Development Planning, Project Management, Sociology, Economics, or Community Development.


Minimum of two years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation for donor-funded projects.


Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SPSS, STATA, XLSTAT, NVIVO, or similar analytical tools.


Demonstrated ability in data analysis, statistical reporting, and use of Management Information Systems.


Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


Skilled in developing logical frameworks and writing results-based reports.


Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.


Knowledgeable in Child Rights and Child Safeguarding practices.


Motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
