Job Summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented AU Bookkeeper to join its growing professional community. The ideal candidate will manage bookkeeping operations for Australian clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities

Record customer payments and prepare aged receivables on demand.


Manage supplier invoices, payment runs, and ensure accurate authorization and posting of expenses.


Reconcile all bank, loan, and credit card accounts weekly and monthly.


Process payroll, employee pays, PAYG, superannuation, and end-of-year reporting in compliance with ATO standards.


Prepare monthly journals, financial statements, and draft reports for management review.


Handle Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for ATO compliance.


Utilize accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks for data entry and financial management.


Support internal and client teams with accurate reporting and performance tracking.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business discipline.


Minimum of 1–2 years of Australian Accounting experience (GST, tax, and depreciation).


Proficient in Xero; knowledge of MYOB and QuickBooks is an advantage.


Strong understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliation processes.


Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).


Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple clients.
