Job Summary

African Industries Group (AIG) is seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Officer to join its cookware manufacturing division in Ota, Ogun. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the workplace.

Key Responsibilities


  • Implement and monitor workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Train and educate employees on safe work practices, emergency response, and hazard control.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and workplace hazards; recommend and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports on HSE performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and management to promote continuous improvement in safety culture.



Required Qualifications


  • 3–5 years of proven experience in HSE within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong understanding of HSE laws, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Certification in HSE or related field is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and drive compliance across all levels of staff.
