HR Officer

African Industries Group (AIG) is seeking an experienced HR Officer to support its human resources operations within its engineering division in Ikeja, Lagos. The role involves managing core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with labour regulations and company policies.

• Handle end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, shortlisting, and interviews.
• Oversee employee onboarding, orientation, and documentation.
• Support the implementation of performance management and appraisal systems.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
• Assist in developing and enforcing HR policies and compliance with labour laws.
• Address employee relations issues and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Support payroll processing and leave administration.
• Provide HR reports and contribute to continuous improvement of HR practices.

• B.Sc in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and Nigerian labour laws.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in an engineering or technical environment is an added advantage.
