Maintain accurate documentation of all financial transactions
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review
Monitor company income, expenses, and overall cash flow
Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations
Prepare and file tax returns within the required timelines
Calculate and remit taxes including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and Company Income Tax
Prepare financial statements such as Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement
Provide financial insights and reports to assist management decision-making
Manage payroll processing and ensure proper deductions for PAYE and pension contributions
Assist management in developing budgets and monitor expenditure against approved budgets
Liaise with tax authorities such as the Federal Inland Revenue Service and Lagos State Internal Revenue Service
Respond to tax queries and handle tax audit processes
Implement internal financial control systems to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement
Advise management on legal tax planning strategies and financial decisions that reduce tax liabilities
