Cost Account Officer (Manufacturing Sector Experience)

Givanas Cosmetics Nigeria Limited is seeking a Cost Account Officer with manufacturing sector experience to manage and analyze company costs, review financial records, and support strategic decision-making. The role requires expertise in cost accounting, financial reporting, and budget management within a manufacturing environment.

Assist in formulating and designing financial policies and planning for effective balance sheet management

Contribute to the design of fees and pricing structures for company products and services

Prepare briefing notes for the Factory Accountant on costing methodologies and assumptions

Implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures

Perform cost analysis to support operational decisions and monthly variance analysis

Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine cost implications

Create, implement, and monitor costs for new items and assist service review processes with cost intelligence

Ensure the costing system aligns with VAT requirements

Provide schedules, support, and analytics for year-end financial audits

Conduct balance sheet reviews and integrate findings into financial closing and forecasting

Prepare budget schedules, monthly variance analysis, and management accounts

Generate financial reports on costing and performance for internal stakeholders

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, or ACCA)

Minimum of 3 to 5 years accounting experience, with cost accounting preferred

Proven manufacturing sector experience

Strong IT skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency

Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to stakeholders
