Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of youth-focused and gender-responsive ASRHR activities in line with approved state workplans
Coordinate and facilitate Comprehensive Sexuality Education programmes for in-school and out-of-school adolescents
Support peer education initiatives, youth forums, and community dialogues addressing gender norms and stigma
Ensure active participation of adolescents and marginalized groups in project activities
Collaborate with NHQ to align state implementation with national ASRHR frameworks and standards
Adapt national tools and guidelines to suit the state context
Strengthen linkages between communities and youth-friendly SRHR service delivery points
Collect, validate, and submit activity reports, disaggregated data, and success stories
Monitor ASRHR indicators with proper gender and age disaggregation
Participate in review meetings and adaptive learning sessions
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, and gender equality principles
Promote inclusion of young people with disabilities and other underserved groups
Engage state ministries, schools, CSOs, and community leaders to improve ASRHR outcomes
Represent the project in state-level meetings and youth platforms as assigned
Support advocacy initiatives that enhance youth-friendly policies and services
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Education, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related discipline
3 to 5 years experience implementing youth-focused or ASRHR/SRHR programmes at community or state level
Proven experience coordinating or delivering Comprehensive Sexuality Education programmes
Strong knowledge of adolescent development, gender equality, and youth engagement strategies in Nigeria
Excellent facilitation, coordination, and interpersonal skills
Strong reporting and documentation capacity
Ability to work independently while maintaining effective coordination with national office
Proficiency in data collection tools and MS Office applications
High level of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to ASRHR principles
