In-House Counsel

Mshel Homes Limited, a reputable real estate development and marketing company, is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to provide legal advisory and support across its operations. The role focuses on compliance, risk management, and strategic contract negotiations within the real estate industry.

• Provide legal guidance on property acquisition, development, leasing, financing, and dispute resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, joint ventures, and construction agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian real estate laws and regulations.
• Develop internal legal policies and training programs to manage organizational risks.
• Manage litigation, mediation, and relations with external counsel.
• Monitor and interpret changes in legislation affecting the company.
• Represent the company before regulatory bodies and government agencies.
• Support governance structures and corporate legal management.

• LL.B and B.L with 5–10 years post-call experience.
• Minimum of 4 years in corporate practice or as an in-house counsel.
• Strong experience in drafting and negotiating complex real estate contracts.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and research abilities.
• Strategic thinker with strong business judgment.
• Professional certification or relevant proficiency is an added advantage.
