Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Plan and design road construction and rehabilitation projects
Conduct site surveys, soil tests, and feasibility studies
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
Supervise road construction activities on-site
Ensure accurate setting out, grading, drainage, and pavement works
Monitor quality of materials such as asphalt, concrete, and aggregates
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and other project stakeholders
Monitor project progress and prepare technical reports
Identify and resolve technical challenges on-site
Plan for proper maintenance post-project completion
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in road construction projects
Knowledge of pavement design and highway engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software
Strong supervision and project management skills
Good understanding of safety and quality control standards
