The Junior Accountant will provide essential support to the finance team, handling reporting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and audit processes within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and post journal entries
Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
Perform bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
Monitor operational expenses and support CAPEX/OPEX tracking
Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis
Compute and process VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory remittances
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
Ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian financial regulations
Maintain proper documentation in line with internal control policies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum of 4 years’ accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (SAP, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) – ICAN certification required
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
