Swift Consulting Limited is recruiting on behalf of its client in the Logistics Industry for a Transport Manager. The role involves overseeing transport operations, managing budgets, supervising staff, and ensuring efficient and compliant logistics processes.
Manage transport budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings
Coordinate daily transport operations and ensure timely and efficient deliveries
Supervise drivers and transport personnel to maintain professionalism and punctuality
Develop and implement effective routing strategies to optimize operations
Monitor vehicle maintenance, fuel consumption, and operating costs
Ensure compliance with transportation laws, regulations, and company policies
Liaise with other departments to provide seamless logistical support
Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to transport activities
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of five years’ experience in transport or fleet management
Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of transport management systems is an advantage
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Knowledge of route planning, logistics, and vehicle maintenance best practices
