Develop and implement strategies for recovering overdue and non-performing loans
Manage delinquent loan portfolios and track recovery performance
Negotiate settlements, restructuring arrangements, and repayment plans
Initiate collateral realization and enforce loan agreements
Ensure all recovery and credit processes comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies
Liaise with external solicitors, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities
Manage litigation processes, court filings, and legal representation coordination
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, loan agreements, and legal instruments
Provide legal advisory support and opinions to management and operational departments
Conduct legal research to support business transactions and strategic decisions
Ensure corporate compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree and Barrister-at-Law (BL) qualification
4–7 years post-call experience in legal practice, loan recovery, credit administration, or financial services
Experience in banking, microfinance, or financial institutions preferred
Knowledge of debt recovery, contract law, insolvency procedures, and financial regulations
Experience managing litigation and enforcement processes
Strong negotiation, legal reasoning, and analytical skills
High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to handle multiple cases and meet performance targets
Proficiency in legal drafting and case management systems
