Job Summary

Michael Stevens Consulting is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth, secure new clients, and expand market presence in the construction, engineering, fabrication, and infrastructure sectors.





Key Responsibilities

Identify and secure new business opportunities across construction, engineering, logistics, and infrastructure projects.


Lead client acquisition activities including prospecting, presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.


Develop and implement strategies for market expansion and revenue growth.


Prepare proposals and tenders in collaboration with internal teams.


Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities with weekly reporting to the MD/BDM.


Build and sustain relationships with clients, partners, community stakeholders, and regulators.


Conduct market intelligence, competitor analysis, and opportunity assessments.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):


Monthly/quarterly new revenue generated.


Number of new clients acquired per month.


Monthly sales pipeline growth and conversion rate.


Weekly client meetings, proposals, and tender submissions.


Monthly market intelligence reports delivered.


Strategic partnerships initiated or secured per quarter.







Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.


3–5 years’ experience in business development (construction, oil & gas, or engineering preferred).


Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.


Ability to build relationships and close deals under time pressure.


Knowledge of Nigerian procurement and industry frameworks is an advantage.


Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations.
